Where is a good place to find lawyers who specialize in government medical malpractice suits?

Somone close to me was the victim of medical malpractice by a VA doctor. The non-VA doctors who had to ‘clean up the mess’ as it were suggested she get a lawyer. I don’t know where to even begin with this and would appreciate any advice.
