Can I refile? Can I file ch. 7? I still have $20k in medical debt and am supporting 3 children. I still owe my attorney $1,200.00, (b/c of his negligence!) and he won’t see me unless I have cash in hand. I am in dire need of help, I lost my car after the dismissal, and now I have to beg rides to get to my new job, and people aren’t exactly lining up to loan me money for even an old clunker with a dismissal. I have been rejected by everyone, even though I make good money now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The attorney did you a disservice. He should have filed to have the case converted to a 7 if you could, at that point. I would consult another attorney on this, but…the downside is that they may charge you a large retainer, but try to work out a payment plan if your income is better now. Good luck.

They didnt even get her medical care. Not even a incident report of it. I recorded them on audio recorder addmiting they let her get up there.(in az its a one way state for recording) I took her to the ER and they found a broken collar bone. Now there Attorneys are givin my attorneys crap. I want the Media to know about this News ABC anything. This daycare has SEVERAL other warnings from CHILDCARE licensing . SEVERAL other police reports on file for abuse and lost child. This center needs to be known about. HELPPP ANYONE how can I get publicity legally I dont want to get sued for slander or anythinglike that. Thanks
Call every TV station in a tri-county area. The national news may pick it up and go from there. As for the lawyers of course there lawyers are going to be giving you problems, that what they do. Just stick by your guns and make sure they know you will never back down.

I had a personal injury @ a store in Merced, Ca., Risk Management offered to pay for my doctor visit & ex-rays taken of my injury which amounted to $434.16 total. The grocery store offered me $610.00 for medical expenses plus pain & suffering.Which I thought that was a slap in the face to me. If the employees of this "Big" chain grocery store would have sheleved the products properly, I would not be seeking advise. I endured tremendous pain and bruising to my eye & face. Please, can you give me advise as to what I can do? I cannot afford an attorney which my income is very limited. I am not asking for MILLIONS of dollars from this company. I am only asking that they sympathize with my injury and "ALL" the pain I endured, because of their negligence of not stocking their shelves properly. I appreciate any info you can offer me. Thank You, Andrea Romero
What does it matter that your a minority? why the heck should you get cheaper legal assitance than me? They paid your medical expenses, thats good enough. It isnt the companies fault, its some 16 y/o kid who didnt know how to do his job, why not go after him. Get a job, and stop asking for handouts.

I was involved in a parking lot accident about a month ago. I was backed into while i was trying to park in the parking spot next to the car backing. She literally did not look behind her and cut her wheel before she started backing instead of backing straight out of the spot and gunned it. Common sense tells me if you back up into something its your fault because you should have seen it, however her insurance has placed me at fault because she said I hit her (I was trying to back up but only managed to put my car into neutral because there wasn’t enough time and I didn’t honk because my reaction was to move out of the way) I have about $2000 dollars worth of damage to the side fender of my car (how can i hit someone with the side of my car?)
So I’ve missed a months worth of income and I can now go back to work but not with my full time status only part time because my employer only has part time to offer me now. I am still going to the doctor and paying out of pocket for it, I’m taking prescriptions i have to pay for, and also physical therapy three times a week.
My lawyer told me today that it may not be worth going after. So I’m left with a broke car, medical bills, and lost wages because someone was negligent and backed into me? I am not prepared to let someones negligence cost me a vehicle (which will not run because the radiator is busted),who knows what in medical costs, and my full time job status, along with my benefits (health, dental, vision, prescription, life insurances) . Has anyone been in this srt of situation or can anyone offer some advice?
I mean really, how can i hit another vehicle with the side of my car while it is in neutral?
No police report was done since it was private property, but he did give us both a paper stating what both vehicles were doing, there were also no witnesses. It’s basically he said she said, other than the paper the officer gace us stating she was backing up…
Thank you Ken K. Let me clear it up – I am a nurse I am not trying to make lots on money I can do that on my own. Second I have medical insurace to cover the bill if auto co doesn’t – but that makes healthcare coverage higher for everyone else and so why do YOU want to pay for someone’s negligence.
Sorry if i come off as money hungry.
I am an honest person who makes an honest living and I need my soft tissue to be able to lift and your elderly family memeber and friends.
My medical will be paid reaguardless. My car and lost wages however will not be returned. I am a mother of 2 small children and am paying to put both myself and my fiance through school.
I don’t care if I don’t get "pain and suffering" I just want what is mine, and I want to be able to know I can do my job and take care of my patients to my best ability.
i have geico, but only liability so they aren’t exactly jumping head over heels to help. Funny thing is – it was payday and I was going to buy full coverage right after i got home since I had just bought the car (paid full in cash) but I only had enough insurace to legally get me home from the dealer! I have the worst luck…
If you have a good insurance company, they should have handled the situation for you. That really is the difference between good auto insurance and cheap insurance. I’ve been in the same situation before, and after going through all the bs (and switching to a legit insurance company), I feel a civil lawsuit is the only way to get things done anymore.. Which is sad. Good luck.

Speaking at a press conference on Feb 25 with DEA Administrator Michele Leonhart, and reiterating a position made by the White House following DEA raids in California on February 4, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder told reporters that ending federal raids on medical marijuana dispensaries “is now American policy.” The Attorney General’s comments are the latest sign of a sea change in federal policy that prohibits the use of medical cannabis in the thirteen states that have enacted such laws.

My mother passed away from Gallbladder Cancer which spread to Stage 4 Metastatic Liver Cancer back in October. All the attorney’s I have consulted with said that Negligence was invoved in the part of the doctor and hospital where my mother was cared for. But Causation comes up. What does this mean? Can I still sue the doctor and hospital?
For those low life losers who are telling me shame on me for suing the people that tried to help my mother. Let ’s get one thing straight. They misdiagnosed her. And your answers are stupid and unkind. Therefore I am reporting you losers for abuse!
I’m so sorry for your loss.
This is a question that may be better answered in a legal section? I suspect that what the lawyers are talking about is whether the misdiagnosis CAUSED the advancement of the cancer (ie: whether you can prove that the doc’s missing the diagnosis is what ultimately caused your mother’s passing.)
Without knowing the intimate details of your mom’s case, it would really be inappropriate to weigh in on what may or may not be medically negligent, etc. Docs are human and we sometimes screw up… while I’m sure your mom’s docs’ intentions were only the best, the fact is that errors in judgement and negligence DO sometimes happen.
Either way, your anger and frustration are completely understandable. I hope however the situation resolves that you’re able to find some peace. Again… very sorry for your loss.

So i was hit by a habitual (4th offense) drunk driver, in a company car, at midnight a week or so ago. He was cited for failure to yield at an intersection, and DUI, which is now his 4th offense. I have been diagnosed with a herniated disc in my back and am undergoing medical treatment as well for a soft tissue injury to my knee resulting from the collision. I’m really just happy to be alive…however…
I don’t usually like the idea of attorneys, but I feel like this guy should be off the road, and that my frustration, injury, and vehicle deserve some sort of compensation for the shear negligence of the other motorist. He is insured.
Is it worth my time to seek an attorney? If so, will they help with the medical expenses and compensation for the incident? Thanks.
yes, get an attorney.you definitely deserve compensation for all the bills incurred from the accident. most lawyers in cases like yours usually get a percentage of what you win so most likely you won’t have to pay up front. someone needs to fight and get that guy off the streets! good luck!
